What is the netting made from?
The netting is made from Knotted High-Density Polyethylene material. Here are the specifications:
- Low profile / Low visibility netting
- ¾” x ¾” Mesh Size
- Heat-strengthened knots
- Will not fray or unravel when cut to size
- UV Treated & resistant
Each width size in an order will be sent as one continuous piece, even if added to your cart separately. For example, if you add 1ft + 1ft + 1ft it will be sent as a 3ft piece.
How do I install the cat netting?
You can install cat netting in any home, how you install depends on what you're attaching it to.
Most people use something like zip ties, hook-nails, hook-screws or something similar to hang it (zip ties and other hardware not included).
Once you have secured your cat netting you simply cut it down to the required size and shape.

Is the cat netting safe for birds?
Absolutely! In fact you will often see wildlife birds standing on the cat net!
You may have heard of birds becoming tangled in nets, this tends to be fruit tree nets that are constructed differently and hang loosely over fruit trees causing them to twist & tangle easily.
The catio net is installed taught & safe, so your outdoor cat enclosure is wildlife friendly.
What animals can I use the cat netting for?
We recommend that only cats should be kept within your cat net. Dogs, coyotes and other animals may chew through the catio netting causing it to become insecure.
Small kittens should be supervised when they are inside the catio netting to ensure they are safe at all times.

Your cat has high standards - we respect that.
You’ve got 60 days to try it out. If it’s a "No" for your fur-baby, send it back for a full refund (minus a 10% restocking fee to cover the treats we gave our warehouse cat).
Finished our catio project. After trying several materials to top our catio we found meow safe netting. By far this has been the best option. Easy to use, easy to secure, durable. Our catio is still in progress but the cats are loving it already. The netting is great quality. Very secure, I have no fears that the cats will get out. Lightweight and easy for one person to work with.
Once I moved to a third floor apartment, this netting has saved my sanity from my cat jumping onto the railing. Now she can watch the birds in safety and I don't need to worry! There are some knots and pulled sections, but they are just aesthetic complaints.
Seems so be holding strong and have already had the cat try and scale the net without success. Easily could cut desired lengths.
This netting is terrific. Super strong. I was a lil' concerned because I needed a 4'x10' piece. It came a a solid net. When you take it out of the package, it is kinda like pantyhose; you have to pull it into shape, sort of looked like a diamond shape but it was a rectangle when it was all stretched out. And I say super strong because I was pulling on it hard to get in place, and the netting performed like a champ. I'm gonna tack it down but have it in place, right now, with pipe cleaners and bullnose clips (on the gutter). Very, VERY pleased. Been wanting this catio for Rosebud and this is a great topper.

I fastened this screen to keep cats out of my big yard. They are killing all the birds!
I live on the second floor of an apartment building. As you can see in my video the birds are quite tempting for my new kitten I adopted, she is 10months and very very curious. I caught her walking on the railing and almost had a heart attack. I did try some cheaper netting off Amazon but my neighbours had this one and it looked much nicer. My cat also doesn’t seem to try and chew it where as the first one I got she did. This product is not cheap but it feels strong and good quality. The non refundable part sucks but I get that a made to order product kind of makes that difficult. Also it didn’t come with any zip ties or ways of securing it. But maybe that was an assumption on my apart. All in all it seems good, hopefully it makes it through the winter with no issues.
Allowing my cats a safe outdoor space in NYC with Meow Safe has been incredible to watch. They love it and so do I!

Pawl lives in the third floor condominium and was never able to enjoy the fresh Montana air where he lives for fear of him falling off the patio. I was not impressed when I open the package, until I realized what one little bundle of netting could become. My cats have never been happier and there’s birdfeeders out for them to watch and the breeze and they fall asleep out here and they want to be out here till all hours of the night. We love our new space and Meow Safe cat netting. We have seven kitties who love the Catio which has a beautiful view of a golf course and lots of birds, squirrels and other fun things to watch. We used to have chicken wire over the screens which was actually hazardous to the cats. Meow Safe netting is very safe and protects both our cats and screens. Meow Safe netting is easy to install and there are some helpful videos out there. We all love it! Two paws up from Kiki, Paris, Jazzy, Matcha, Sofie, Betsy, Charlie, Natalia and John!

My family has two cats, and they were originally feral kittens when we adopted them. We moved to an apartment where they did miss being outdoors, even though they have been converted mostly to indoor cats. The netting was stapled to the top and bottom railings and strung around all sides. One pic shows the downstairs apartment from the road, and you cannot really tell that it is there. The pics with the cats show they do enjoy the patio time in fresh air. The netting is strong enough to where the cats cannot get through, yet small enough to where the cats can see and good air flow. Great product!
