PROS:
* Effective. Keeps my cat, Magnus, out of my bedroom, but allows him to still see and smell in there. Magnus gets separation anxiety, so I wanted to make sure that he wouldn't be overly stressed from being separated from me. In a relatively short period of time (around 3 days) Magnus seems to have adjusted to the barrier and does not seem stressed from it. I can tell if he's stressed because he'll hide, eat less of his food, or act shyer. However, Magnus has been resting in his usual places, his appetite is great, and he's being a jerk (which is good because it means that he feels confident).
* Durable. The gate opens and closes smoothly, and the metal parts don't wobble.
* Appearance. The netting looks more inviting than a tall metal gate. I don't want the entrance into my living room to look like a dungeon.
CONS:
* The plastic rings are difficult to snap together. They require a lot of strength to snap. Also, you have to carefully apply pressure to the areas right beside the snapping points to snap them. I broke one of the rings when I was pushing them together farther from the snapping points. There were extra rings, so I did not run out, despite breaking one. Additionally, my shoulders got tired from holding my arms above my head for so long. To be fair, I could have stood on a chair, but I didn't.
* The video instructions are decent, but some parts are vague.
