Step by step guide and video

Follow the instructions to set up your Cat in in a doorway or hallway.

Additional video is below the step by step instructions 🐱

1. Bent ball rings

Take the 2 short rods, and thread half of the bent ball rings onto each of them.

These will become the top and bottom of your Cat Gate.

2. O-Rings on short rods

Add 2 O-rings to the handles of both the short rods.

Space them about ½ inch apart.

3. End caps

Add end caps onto both ends of the short rods.

These will allow them to grip to your wall or doorframe.

Make sure the end caps are fully on, you may need to tap them with your hand to pop them into place.

4. Fit the bottom of the gate

Use either one of the short rods to make the bottom of your Cat Gate. Place it on the floor, then extend it from wall to wall.

Make sure the handle is fully screwed in. The gate will open from the end with no handle.

Twist the 2 parts of the bar to lock the length.

Next twist the handle to compress it against the wall. It should hold firmly in place.

5. Fit the top of the gate

Use the other short rod to make the top of your Cat Gate. Place it 72 ½ inches above the bottom rod. Make it level and parallel with the bottom rod, and put the handle at the same end. Make sure the handle is fully screwed in.

Twist the 2 parts of the bar to lock the length.

Next twist the handle to compress it against the wall.

Make sure the rod holds firmly in place.

6. Add O-rings to the Long Rods

Add 2 O-rings to both ends of the long rods.

Space them about ½ inch apart.

7. Rounded metal clamps

Extend one of the long rods to 66 ½ inches and lock the length by twisting it.

Attach the rounded metal clamps to each end.

Make sure the clamps on both ends align with each other.

8. Oval ball rings

Add 2 oval ball rings to the round clamp on the thicker end of the long rod. Hang it from the top rod of the Cat Gate.

Make sure this hanging Long rod aligns with the bottom Short rod that makes the bottom of the Cat Gate.

If it doesn't align, you should adjust the top or bottom Short rods so they are aligned and parallel.

9. Bottom oval ball ring

Add an oval ball ring to the bottom of the hanging rod and connect it to the bottom of the gate.

It should slide freely, if it doesn't slide you will need to adjust the position of the top rod.

10. Tighten the top rod

Now that the top & bottom rods are aligned, and the long bar is sliding freely along them, proceed with tightening the top rod so it stays securely in place.

11. Thread the net onto the sliding rod

Unclip the bottom of the sliding rod and thread it through one of the sleeves on the net, all the way to the top.

12. Thread the other long rod into the net

Take the other long rod and thread it through the other sleeve of the net. Make the thicker end of the long rod face upwards.

13. Attach the top of the rod with a fixed clamp

The clamp is made of 2 pieces that interlock with each other. Start by connecting the top of the clamp together, then fold them down over the o-rings on the top rod handle.

Use the allen key to fasten the bolt and the nut together.

13. Attach the bottom of the rod with a fixed clamp

Using a fixed clamp the same as the top, attach the bottom of the rod using the allen key.

14. Attach the ball hooks to the net

Thread the ball hooks along the top of the net so they hold it up. They should only go across as far as you need, not the entire width of the net.

15. Re-Attach bottom oval ball ring

Re-attach the oval ball ring to the bottom of the sliding rod.

16. Ball hooks at bottom of net

Attach the ball hooks to the bottom of the net, using the same method as the top ball hooks.

17. Magnets and clamps

Fit the ultra strong magnets into the magnet clamps. Magnets should always be kept away from electronic devices to avoid damage.

If you find the magnets too strong to open your Cat Gate, you can slightly set them back in the clamp.

18. Attach magnet clamp to top rod

Place the smaller round plastic spacer around the rod, then put the magnet clamp around the plastic spacer.

Attach a magnet clamp to the top rod, as close to the end as possible by placing it on the thin part of the end cap.

(If your installation area doesn't allow you to attach the magnet clamp to the end cap, you can use the larger spacer to attach it to the rod)

19. Attach magnet clamp to bottom rod

Attach a magnet clamp to the bottom rod, as close to the end as possible.

Use the same process as the top magnet clamp.

(If your installation area doesn't allow you to attach the magnet clamp to the end cap, you can use the larger spacer to attach it to the rod)

20. Security channel stickers

Attach the velcro stickers to the back of the security channel.

2 velcro pieces make 1 set. Add 2 sets to the top & 2 to the bottom of the security channel (4 sets in total).

21. Stick security channel onto wall

Stick the security channel to the wall or frame where the gate will slide closed. The bottom magnet should sit inside the security channel.

Press it against the wall for at least 60 seconds.

22. Wind up the excess net with plastic clips

Wind the excess net around the fixed pole and secure it with the plastic clips. Use size 32 clips for the top thick part of the rod, size 25 clips for the other thinner part of the rod.

Don't pull the net tight when winding & clipping it, you should keep it a bit loose and stretchy because this prevents your cat from climbing on it.

You're all set!

Now you're ready to use your Cat Gate to keep your furry loved one safe! 🐱💗
